Considering FC Zoria Luhansk victory against FC Shakhtar Donetsk the White-Blues had to defeat FC Volyn Lutsk to make up the ground on the UPL leader.

The match started with moment of silence dedicated to ex-Dynamo player Andriy Husin, who’s passed away.

Kyivans took the ball under control right after the kick-off. That resulted in goal 18 minutes into the match. Yarmolenko and Belhanda played one-two inside the box and Andriy hit the bottom corner.

The White-Blues were flagged offside a lot, but ten minutes before the break Yarmolenko and Lens performed a breakthrough and Jeremain hit the open goal after the pass from Kyivans’ skipper.

61 minutes into the match Dynamo made the score 3:0. Yarmolenko hit the upper V from outside the penalty area.

Ten minutes later visitors’ defender Ivica Zunic headed the ball in after the cross from corner flag.

Five minutes before the time Vladyslav Kalytvyntsev hit the upper corner and drew the line under this match.

Dynamo: no right for mistake

The White-Blues let the victory slip away as they opposed FC Zoria Luhansk in the previous UPL fixture.

This week Zoria surprised the whole football society of Ukraine with sensational win against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Thus Kyivans have got a chance to approach their main competitor.

Dynamo will face Volyn on Monday as on Thursday they performed in Portugal. The turf was of really bad quality which made the match very challenging for our players. Still the outcome of the game has definitely cheered Serhiy Rebrov’s men up.

Dynamo head coach still can’t count on injured Harmash, Mbokani and Haruna, besides Olexandr Shovkovskyi has fallen into line with them.

Yevhen Khacheridi has already recovered, but it seems he won’t take the field against Volyn.

The White-Blues halfback Serhiy Rybalka has mentioned that Kyivans have great motivation and realize that they have no right to lose points again.

Volyn: always ready to fight

Rybalka has also given a good definition to FC Volyn Lutsk game style: “Volyn are always ready to fight. Their head coach Vitaliy Kvartsianyi motivates players really well. We’ll try not to let them control the ball”.

Today Volyn demonstrate worthy play. After three victories and three defeats they are 5th in the UPL standings.
