FC Dynamo Kyiv defeated FC Illichivets Mariupol within the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 4.

Comparing with the previous game against FC Olimpik Donetsk there were three substitutions in the White-Blues starting lineup. Olexandr Shovkovskyi was keeping the goal instead of Olexandr Rybka while Denys Harmash and Serhiy Rybalka replaced Serhiy Sydorchuk and Vladyslav Kalytvyntsev.

Kyivans opened the score five minutes into the game. Makarenko unleashed a shot from distance, but after rebound Harmash obtained the ball. Denys found Yarmolenko in the box, Andriy passed to Kravets and Artem hit the target at the second attempt.

After that Dynamo kept controlling the ball, but spectators didn’t see more goals in the first half.

Rebrov’s men doubled the score 54 minutes into the match. Yarmolenko found Harmash in the penalty area, Denys headed the ball to Husiev and Oleh scored with one touch shot.
Several minutes later Makarenko put a cross into the box and Kravets made the score 3:0 with a header.

Illichivets netted one goal as Yavorskyi used the mistake of Olexandr Shovkovskyi, but that looked more like consolation goal.

A couple of minutes before the time Sydorchuk eluded several opponents on the way to the goal, but Illichivets keeper didn’t let him unleash a shot. Still the ball was obtained by Kravets, who completed a hat trick by hitting the open goal.

Dynamo: to make right conclusions

Dynamo draw against FC Olimpik Donetsk is one of the main sensations of the season start. In that game Kyivans unleashed only one shot on goal, so they could hardly count on victory.

Dynamo coaching staff had a week to point out reasons for such failure. Players also should make right conclusions to let spectators enjoy the game.

Fortunately the injury Danilo Silva suffered in the previous game has turned out to be not very serious, so it’s quite possible that he’ll take the field against Illichivets.

Midfielder Serhiy Rybalka, who didn’t play against Olimpik due to suspension, is also getting ready for the forthcoming match. So does Niko Kranjcar.

Serhiy Rebrov probably counts on Jeremain Lens already.

As for Dieumerci Mbokani, it will take him three-four months to recover after surgery.

Illichivets: away start

This season several clubs, including FC Illichivets Mariupol, have to leave their cities and look for a “shelter” because of the situation in the east of Ukraine.

Unlike FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Zoria Luhansk and FC Olimpik Donetsk, who have found “home” arenas, Illichivets play all their matches away. Thus they’ll face FC Dynamo Kyiv at the NSC Olimpiyskyi within the UPL matchday 4.

During the summer break Illichivets squad didn’t change rapidly, but still they lost several leaders. Ivan Ordets joined Shakhtar and Dmytro Hrechyshkin – Chornomorets. On the other hand 20-year-old midfielder Serhiy Hryn joined the team.

Opposition history

FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Illichivets Mariupol 32 times within the UPL. Kyivans won 27 matches and lost one. Four more games ended in a draw. Goal difference is 74:18 for the White-Blues.
