This season every FC Dynamo Kyiv match starts with moment of silence. On August 9 the White-Blues legendary player, good coach and person Andriy Bal passed away.
Seven Ukrainians in the starting lineup – this is normal for Dynamo today. Domagoj Vida and Serhiy Rybalka were suspended while Oleh Husiev and Benoit Tremoulinas were among first eleven.
Kyivans totally controlled the game, but as for scoring chances… In the first half Tremoulinas, Sydorchuk and Belhanda put several low crosses into the box and that was it.
After the break the White-Blues featured more actively. Olimpik didn’t think about attacks at all and totally focused on defense.
Dynamo created the best chance in a stoppage time. Kravets made visitors’ keeper commit a mistake, Yarmolenko obtained the ball, but missed the target from five-meter distance…
So, the outcome of the game is goalless draw.

Dynamo: overcoming squad problems
The start of current season was a success for the White-Blues. After home victory against FC Vorskla Poltava they defeated FC Metalist Kharkiv away.
Still Serhiy Rebrov can’t count on some first team regulars yet.
Two players picked up injuries in the previous match: Aleksandar Dragovic and Andriy Yarmolenko. It’s still not clear whether they’ll be able to feature against FC Olimpik Donetsk.
Serhiy Rybalka won’t take the field due to suspension. On the other hand Benoit Tremoulinas and Denys Harmash have rejoined the team.
Miguel will miss about two weeks because of injury he suffered at the training session. Jeremain Lens has already joined Kyivans, but he still works individually.
Olimpik: dark horse from Donetsk
Olimpik lost by great margin against FC Chornomorets Odesa within the UPL matchday 1 (4:0).
Still in the following game they were victorious over FC Zoria Luhansk.
The head coach of the team is 35-year-old Roman Sanzhar.
Last season Olimpik finished first in the Ukrainian First League.
The club was founded in 2001.
After defeat against Chornomorets several newcomers joined Donetsk side, such as goalkeeper Olexiy Shevchenko, forwards Kadymian and Lysenko and midfielder Dmytro Yeremenko.
