FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Metalurh Zaporizhia within the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 22.
The White-Blues centre back Yevhen Khacheridi didn’t take the field because of injury, so Domagoj Vida took his place.
Game aspects
Dynamo started the game actively and tried to score the early opener, but Metalurh were ready for that and played orderly for defense. Oleh Blokhin’s men tried to use side attacks and low crosses into the box.
Metalurh defenders were paying special attention to Dynamo winger Andriy Yarmolenko, so he didn’t have much space and tried to score from distance.
45 minutes into the match Danilo Silva put a cross into Metalurh penalty area and Dieumerci Mbokani headed the ball in!
After the break Kyivans kept attacking. Oleh Husiev scored in one-on-one situation 76 minutes into the game. A bit later he hit the target for the second time in similar situation and in the following attack Oleh assisted Mbokani, who made the score 4:0!
Key episode

As in previous match, Dynamo will play at the NSC Olimpiyskyi against one of the outsiders of the UPL. Oleh Blokhin’s men defeated SC Tavria Simferopol confidently despite the final score 1:2.

Kyivans have a chance to score their 50th goal against Zaporizhia side in home matches. At the moment Kyivans have 47 well-placed shots.
Dynamo supporters are looking forward for interesting game. Rather intriguing is the competition betweenf Andriy Yarmolenko and Dieumerci Mbokani. They’ve scored nine goals each within the UPL this season.
Metalurh (Z):
Metalurh don’t demonstrate proper results at the moment. It’s not clear how many teams will feature in the UPL next season, but anyway Zaporizhia side are to do their best to change the situation for better.
Oleh Taran’s men demonstrated rather worthy play in their previous match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk though they suffered 3:0 defeat.
During the winter break Metalurh were enforced by experienced striker Volodymyr Pryiomov. 20-year-old halfback Dmytro Yusov has already come to the front. Oleh Taran puts trust into young performers.
Oppositions balance
Dynamo have already faced Metalurh 41 times within the Ukrainian Premier League (W-21, D-8, L-2, goal difference – 94:26). It’s interesting that Metalurh defeated Dynamo both times in Kyiv.
