On August 24 FC Dynamo Kyiv played the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification play-off round first leg against Besiktas JK in Bucharest. Visitors succeeded 3:2.
Dynamo started aggressively. Popov put a good pass from the right side, but Vanat didn’t manage to score. Then Kyivans won a free kick, Shaparenko crossed accurately, but Vanat sent the ball over the bar. Besiktas almost responded with a goal. Aboubakar attempted with a heel kick, Bushchan parried and the follow-up wasn’t a success.
38 minutes into the game Popov handled the ball inside the box and referee awarded penalty. Aboubakar converted from the spot.
Early in the second half Dynamo managed to score. After cross from the left side Karavayev obtained the ball and hit the target, but unfortunately upon checking VAR referee disallowed this goal due to offside. After that the teams scored three within five minutes.
Buialskyi put a low cross into the center and Shaparenko hit the upper V with a powerful strike. In three minutes Colley headed the ball in after corner and put Besiktas in front again. But in the following attack Buialskyi eluded his opponent in the left wing, put another cross and Voloshyn netted it with a header too.
Generally, the White-Blues were doing better afterwards. Tymchyk aimed at the near corner – Gunok saved. Then Fernandes appeared one-on-one with Bushchan, but our keeper saved too. Buialskyi had two decent attempts, but the keeper was there for his team.
In a stoppage time Besiktas scored another one. Zaynutdinov got a pass from Rashica and hit the target from close range – 3:2 for visitors.
