Ukraine national team hosted Belgium in Murcia, Spain, in the 2024/25 Nations League playoffs first leg.
There was one FC Dynamo Kyiv player in Ukraine starting lineup – Mykola Shaparenko. Visitors opened the score in the first half as Lukaku headed the ball in after cross from De Bruyne.
Yet Ukraine came back after the break. 62 minute into the game Serhii Rebrov made a triple substitution – Yarmoliuk, Vanat and Hutsuliak took the field.
Hutsuliak equalized in four minutes as he used the defender’s mistake and sent the ball into the corner – 1:1.
Seven minutes later Vanat put Ukraine in front as he netted the ball after low cross from Dynamo trainee Viktor Tsyhankov.
In six minutes another Dynamo trainee hit the target. Illia Zabarnyi scored after cross from Oleksandr Zinchenko.
So, it’s 3:1 for Ukraine. The second leg will be played on March 23 in Belgium.
