Dynamo to face Maccabi Tel Aviv in Europa League play-off round

On Thursday, August 14, Dynamo Kyiv learned their opponent for the Europa League qualification play-off round.

For the right to play in the main stage of the European competition the White-Blues will face Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. After an away victory in Malta over Hamrun Spartans – 2:1 (Revivo, 79, Madmon, 90+6 – Koffi, 71, penalty) the Israeli club also defeated their opponent in the nominal home match, which was played in the Serbian city of Bačka Topola – 3:1 (Shahar, 37, 45+2, Davidah, 69 – Mbong, 43; in the 28th minute Emerson (Hamrun Spartans) missed penalty).

Our future opponent played the victorious return leg with the following lineup: Mishpati – Asante, Stojic, Shlomo (Heitor, 64), Revivo – Sissokho (Lederman, 80), Peretz (Noy, 64), Shahar, Davida, Madmon (Turgeman, 46) – Nicolaescu (Patati, 46).

It should be noted that the first match of the Europa League qualification play-off round between Dynamo and Maccabi will take place on August 21 in the city of Bačka Topola (Serbia) at the TSC Arena, where the Tel Aviv side play their home matches in European qualification. The return match is scheduled for August 28 and will be held at Arena Lublin in Lublin, Poland.
